Who We Are

Dee Jay Bee Publishing is an independent press for stories that refuse to stay neatly on one shelf. We publish middle-grade mysteries and adventures, science fiction, LGBTQ+ young adult fiction, cozy mysteries, dark horror, and bold literary work from life’s rougher edges.

Our books may travel from an Apollo-era New Jersey neighborhood to a distant planet, a convent full of accidental detectives, a high-school hallway, or a bar where the regulars are not necessarily alive. What connects them is not genre. It is strong storytelling, memorable characters, and something genuine beating beneath the surface.

Our Story

Dee Jay Bee Publishing began with a simple idea: publish the kinds of books we would be excited to discover ourselves.

That idea has grown into a diverse catalog of imaginative, character-driven fiction. Our stories explore friendship, identity, first love, family, prejudice, courage, grief, redemption, and the wonderfully complicated business of figuring out who you are.

We work with a small roster of distinctive authors, each with a voice and storytelling territory of their own. Some write warm, funny adventures for younger readers. Others venture into romance, rebellion, supernatural terror, cozy sleuthing, or uncompromising literary fiction. Every book earns its place by offering readers a world worth entering.

We work closely with our authors throughout the publishing process, from manuscript development and editing to cover design, formatting, and release.
